As an IT auditor, Corey has successfully led security initiatives across diverse industries, including classified federal systems, banking and finance, healthcare, and education. His comprehensive approach to cybersecurity auditing ensures that organizations meet regulatory requirements while strengthening their overall security posture.

 

A proud combat veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and trained tactical communicator, Corey thrives in team-oriented environments and brings a mission-driven approach to his work. Throughout his military career, he has provided dependable leadership in high-risk operations, including managing security controls in critical intelligence environments.

 

Corey is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) in good standing with the International Information System Security Certification Consortium (ISC2). He holds a Master of Science in Information Systems Security from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Science in Criminology from the University of South Florida. Additionally, he attended St. Petersburg Community College, where he played a key role in establishing the Veteran Student Association, which contributed to the institution being recognized as one of the Top 25 Military-Friendly Colleges by Military Times.

 

Passionate about educating the next generation of cybersecurity professionals, Corey is a certified instructor with a long-standing commitment to training. Since 2005, he has provided cybersecurity education to individuals and organizations, holding training officer roles in both government agencies and the private sector. Corey has led CISSP training courses and designed introductory cybersecurity certification programs tailored to aspiring professionals. His mission is to protect and advance the profession by equipping others with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the evolving cybersecurity landscape.
